It turned out to be a smart move - Slingo launched in 1996 and sat at number one on the AOL game charts for at least two years, with millions of people lapping up this exciting mix of slots and bingo. Once fully formed, the programmer suggested he should share the game on AOL’s games channel, which was very popular at the time.
Sal subsequently contacted a New York programmer to develop a computer prototype of his exciting new game.
